Outdoor fun includes Connect Four, cornhole, horseshoe pits, and a BBQ grill with cooking utensils for a perfect evening cookout. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the wrap-around deck, an ideal spot for watching the sunset, or relax in the custom reading nook with a peaceful view.

Located just minutes from Beavers Bend State Park and Broken Bow Lake, Chateau Thoreau offers easy access to outdoor activities while providing a peaceful space to relax. Chateau Thoreau is managed by The Hills, a luxury portfolio of custom cabins in the exclusive development of Woodland Hills in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. After booking, you will be required to submit a pre-arrival form, show ID, and sign our rental agreement. This property is a contactless self-check-in, and the code will be sent 3 days before check-in.

Guests will have full private access to the cabin. Guests will access the cabin using a secure pin code that will be sent prior to arrival. Chateau Thoreau has exterior cameras that are monitored for security purposes.

We offer both early check-in and late checkout options, subject to availability, with an additional fee for these services.

Friendly reminder of the complimentary items provided during your stay for planning purposes:

• We supply a starter set of toilet paper (2 rolls), paper towels (2 rolls), trash bags (5), dish soap, hand soap, full-size bathroom shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, a dish sponge, dishwasher pods (enough for 3 days), and laundry soap (enough for 3 days). Once these supplies run out, guests will be responsible for replenishing them.

• In the kitchen, we provide all necessary utensils, pots, pans, plates, cups, salt and pepper, olive oil, and coffee grounds (enough for 3 days) or K-Cups (enough for 3 days) if the cabin has a Keurig, as well as coffee filters. If you need more, we recommend bringing additional supplies.

The cabin is located 4 miles west of 259 down Cress Road, which is a dirt road. It's regularly maintained, but we always like to let guests know what to expect for this portion of the drive. It's completely doable in smaller sedan-like cars, but you may prefer an SUV or larger car if you have that option. Driving directions are sent to guests prior to their stay via the digital guest guidebook.
